Our Children's Ministries seek to partner with parents to help their children grow toward maturity in Christ (Eph. 4:13). We desire for children to know and love Jesus, choosing to follow him, accepting him as Lord of their life. We believe that parents are the most important influence in a child's life and that the home is the primary place where faith is nurtured. We believe that it is our role to come alongside parents with resources to help equip them by keeping them informed of what is being taught, by providing family opportunities to connect with their kids throughout the year, and by reinforcing what is being taught at home.
Sunday mornings at 10:30 am beginning September 11th we will be kicking off a new curriculum called The Story by Zondervan Publishers for preschoolers through adults. Through small and large group teaching, this curriuculum takes our preschool and elementary students through the Bible utilizing scripture memory, visual aides, hands on activities, games and solid biblical teaching. Classes are divided by ages and grades. Parents are encouraged to attend our Adult Bible Fellowship classes that happen at the same time and they too will be discussing the same Biblical truths that their children are hearing. This curriculum supports the philosophy of Deuteronomy 6:4-7. "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." For 31 weeks we will be studying God's word as we start at the beginning in Genesis and then end in May with Revelation.
Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 pm beginning September 14th we have programs from preschool through 6th grade. Many families start their Wednesday night with a dinner served on the upper level of our church from 5:45 - 6:30 pm for only $2.00 a person! After dinner, kids split into their age/grade group and have an energetic night filled with games, stories, snacks, crafts, service projects and FUN! Kids learn the truth from God's Word, the Bible, and build relationships with other kids, adults and especially Jesus! Each age group studies the same principal on the same night. This Fall we will begin with the 10 commandments. We do not meet on April 3rd and our last Wednesday night for this school year will be May 1st.
