Jonah, Daniel, Mary, David and Goliath, Eve, Moses, Ruth…Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is filled with the names of many people who are all a part of one big Story. It is God’s Story.
But for the most part, even those of us who have spent our whole lives in the church are a bit confused about how it all fits together, or even what it is all about.
That’s why, beginning the week of September 11, we are going to be reading – and telling and learning and exploring and discussing – The Story. In 31 chapters, we will explore the large, overarching narrative of the God who goes to great lengths to rescue human beings and restore them to a good place in that same Story. We will do that by reading a substantial portion of the Bible this year.
